I think the main theme in the movie is the whole cloning thing becouse its based of two clones coming in to a world that they have never seen before and meet the same person that they are cloned of. Its kinda like they go in to a paralel universe.
I think doctor Merricks decided to start the operation with cloning to becouse he realised he could make allot of money from fooling people like that and creating clones and tricking them to think that they are the only human left an the whole thing with the island. I think ¨the island¨ is saying about cloning that it might be posible but it would not work in a way that it would be strange to see two people that looks exacty like each other but i thnk to that the clones would turn in to the new minority they would have no rights they would have all the shit jobs and all the bad stuff and i think that would create allot of conflicts.
I think Jordan might mean that they are the island becouse they free’d all the clones and got them out of the fasillity. I think they mean that they are kind of like a god or hero for the clones becouse they saved them all from dying but other wise i dont think this has anything to do with human hope or some made up place like heaven / the island.
I think that the meassage of the film might be that we should not clone becouse it would couse a lot of consequnses like the whole minority thing i wrote earlier. I think that its a lot of voilence becouse there is no other way to get them back and if they would get them back they would still know the way out unless they killed them and made clones of them again.
